The commission approved a previously negotiated development agreement enabling a private sewer line to be installed along 11th Street and held in private ownership for up to three years while meeting city standards and testing requirements. Staff noted the city received $250,000 from the county to upsize the line to accommodate future connections, and the agreement limits connections during that private holding period to Fort Point only.
Commissioners moved and seconded to approve the development agreement; the motion carried by voice vote. Staff explained that the private holding arrangement is temporary, the line will be tested twice (before transfer to the city) and any future connections will be governed by city code.
