Council orders $10.8 million transfer from sports fund to crisis-stabilization and clubhouse programs

Secretary Adam Proffitt told the council the balance in the Attracting a Professional Sports Team to Kansas Fund was $43,274,777.72 as of the certification date and that HB 2513 requires moving 25% of that balance to the finance-council-held account. "The balance... was $43,274,777.72. So 25% of that amount would be $10,818,694.43," Proffitt said.
Proffitt described the mandated split of that transferred amount: 75% to the Community Crisis Stabilization Centers Fund (a little over $8.1 million) and 25% to the Clubhouse Model Program Fund (a little over $2.7 million). The council moved and approved the resolution by roll call; the clerk recorded the motion as passing with seven votes.
