Sisters Habitat outlines 19-home affordable project, dedication set for May 29

He said Habitat hopes to begin vertical construction in July and invited council members to a dedication in Woodlands on Friday, May 29, at 2 p.m. Hoover estimated principal, interest, taxes and insurance payments would fall between $1,400 and $1,800 per month depending on unit size.
Hoover thanked the city and Council President McDougall for recent support and described the long-term affordability benefits of land trusts and housing incentives. The presentation noted Sisters Habitats per-capita production record in Oregon and that the project would add affordable units to the citys housing inventory. The council did not take action during the public-comment period but heard the update as part of visitor communication.
