Seneca council approves health insurance for two full-time employees

Following an executive session to discuss employee performance and insurance, the Seneca City Council approved providing health insurance for the city's two full-time employees.
Council reviewed CIS Insurance policy rates in light of the FY 2018–19 budget. "After review of insurance policies for employees provided by CIS Insurance, and a review of the FY 2018-19 budget, the Council has decided to provide health insurance at the suggested rates for the two full-time employees for the City of Seneca," City Manager Raamin Burrell reported. Councilor Sue Holliday moved to provide insurance and Councilor Lilly Foster seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
The council did not record plan specifics in the public minutes; staff will implement coverage consistent with CIS offerings and the adopted budget.
