The Seneca City Council voted July 10 to allow customers to pay utility bills by credit card through Heartland Billing Solutions and authorized City Manager Raamin Burrell to provide required personal information to the vendor.
Burrell said the vendor requires personal information from the signatory in addition to entity details. "I am looking for a motion from the Council to allow her to submit her personal information along with the City's," the agenda noted; Councilor Melissa Pettyjohn moved the authorization and Councilor Sue Holliday seconded. "All in favor, motion passed," Mayor Brad Smith said, and the council also authorized the mayor to sign the contract.
Councilors did not record dissent and the item was approved at the meeting. Staff will finalize contracting steps with Heartland and implement the payment option for utility customers.
