One commissioner asked whether soil cores had been taken and where fill existed near the pond; the presenter said soil sampling had been done in some spots but recommended additional investigation. The Chair asked for a drawn planting plan with a key showing proposed plant sizes and which rocks could be removed without causing damage.
Because of outstanding technical questions and the need for more detailed drawings and a maintenance program, the Chair moved to continue the EO hearing to the commission's next meeting on August 10 so members could review a revised planting plan, rock-removal guidance and any third-party soil results.
