Manager Matt Sturgis told the council that a payment from Jennifer Durden brought a delinquent account (tax map 108, lot 005) fully current; the amount recorded in the meeting packet was $24,165.37 and staff noted a release/quitclaim deed will be processed after council approval. Councilor Mike moved to accept the payment and the motion passed unanimously.
Separately, the council set public hearings for Aug. 10 on a batch of ordinance amendments recommended by the planning and ordinance committees: changes to Chapter 315 (zoning section 13, office commercial south district), Chapter 223 (shellfish conservation definitions and fees), Chapter 84 (fees and fines sections on shellfish and domesticated chickens), and Chapter 261 (taxation) criteria for program participation. Councilors described most items as housekeeping or aligning with neighboring towns.
