The Town Board of South Shore approved warrants totaling $11,683.31 at its Dec. 9 meeting and instructed staff to withhold a Dakota Directional check while grant opportunities are explored. Finance Officer Michelle Zirbel presented the report.
Zirbel reported fund balances including a General Fund balance of $122,302.71 and a Water Fund balance of $(41,164.75); the negative Water Fund balance reflected a check made out to J and J Earthworks for the water project that had not been sent because the board opted to wait for approval of funding sources. The board noted the outstanding sewer loan principal balance was not available at the time of the meeting. A motion to approve the warrants while holding the Dakota Directional check passed unanimously.
