Nutter Fort councilors voted on Aug. 13 to buy a 2024 Ford Super Duty F‑350 for the Public Works department and to use Sales & Use tax funding to pay off the remaining balance on the town’s 2015 EMS ambulance.
Councilor Charlene Louk moved to approve the vehicle purchase from T&S Ford and Councilor Karen Phillips seconded; the motion carried by unanimous vote. In the same motion cycle, council approved using Sales & Use tax funds to pay the outstanding balance on the 2015 ambulance.
Town officials explained the decision was driven by an inter‑departmental reassignment of a Public Works truck to Nutter Fort EMS and by fleet replacement timing—the town expects two fleet replacements via grant funding in the coming year, with other replacements deferred until 2029.
