Baker said the committee plans to create eleven temporary holes to mount the flags and that "the PVC pipe will be removed, and the grounds will be restored to its original configuration" after the event. She also said organizers will use parts of Old Amherst Road for some displays, including a mock Declaration of Independence signing and information tables, and that participation by the Sons & Daughters of the American Revolution is being solicited. Chairman John Quinlan emphasized coordination with the Recreation Department because of anticipated heavy foot traffic.
The committee said final setup will depend on volunteer availability and on the opening of the green; organizers described follow-up outreach to Recreation and potential volunteers. There was no formal action at the meeting; the Selectmen did not object to the plan and urged coordination with town staff.
