The city’s utilities department agreed to preserve an overall 100‑foot public utility easement by shifting 30 feet to the east, ensuring continued public utility access while allowing private utility placement within the vacated western 30‑foot segment.
A representative from K‑State Salina was available for questions but no public speakers opposed the measure. The commission adopted the ordinance by roll call vote (4–0). Staff said the easements would revert to the property owner upon recording of the ordinance.
