Town Administrator reports First Responder progress and posts tax-roll figures

During the Town Administrator’s report the board was told that the administrator met with Shawn Carlson and that EMC will present findings or a proposal regarding the HES building to the School Committee; that presentation has not been scheduled and the Select Board was invited to attend. The administrator also asked the board whether to move the Nov. 11 meeting date to Nov. 12 or Nov. 13 because Nov. 11 is Veterans Day.
The administrator reported continuing coordination with NEMHS, Lincolnville, Camden and Maine EMS on ambulance service and the First Responder Program. Maine EMS confirmed Hope is on track with the First Responder program, an MOU is available, and the town’s team may soon begin responding locally; the administrator said the town could see a reduction in EMS costs starting in the coming quarter. The minutes also record tax-roll figures: there are 1,047 real-estate accounts for FY2026 totaling $2,338,544.04; 26 FY2025 accounts remain unpaid totaling $54,294.11 (foreclosure if unpaid on Feb. 12, 2027); and 11 FY2024 accounts total $27,169.29 (foreclosure if unpaid on Feb. 20, 2026).
