Council authorizes $43,500 hot-mix asphalt patching contract

Public-works staff told the council the patching program addresses road failures in sections that cannot be plowed or that would otherwise deteriorate before winter and that the professional patching will carry the city until a larger road-bond project is undertaken. "These are areas that we can't plow anymore...this is professional patching," staff said, explaining the operational need.
The council moved and approved the resolution on roll call.
