The Select Board voted unanimously to authorize the Town Attorney and Code Enforcement Officer to commence a land‑use enforcement action pursuant to M.R. Civ. P. Rule 80K by agreement with Gregg and Holley Grenert, owners of property at 75 Loon Lane. The motion, made by Select Board member Charles Weidman and seconded by Crystal Robinson, approved an amendment to the Aug. 7, 2024 Consent Agreement that: (i) sets a remediation completion date for the garage removal work of May 31, 2026; (ii) requires the Grenerts to provide a signed construction contract with evidence of a 25% deposit to their contractor no later than Oct. 31, 2025; (iii) imposes delay damages of $200 per day for each day after May 31, 2026 that the work remains incomplete; and (iv) leaves the remainder of the Aug. 7, 2024 Consent Agreement in effect.
The motion also instructed the CEO to inspect promptly and issue a Certificate of Occupancy, if appropriate, on timely notice of completion. The board recorded the motion as approved 5–0.
