City Manager Ellen Glass provided a multi-item update in her report. She said staff are working through an EPA grant appropriation process with Representative McDonald-Rivet's office; that draft ordinances addressing scooters and solicitors are being prepared by Sutter and Gildner; and that staff are scheduling installation of meeting-recording equipment. Glass also noted fiscal year-end tasks, tax and utility billing work, election preparation, distribution of budget books, and the introduction of a new Director of Public Works.
Councilors received the report with no additional public comment during this section. Glass also reminded Council of a planned tour of the Mill building and asked members to contact staff to arrange schedules. No formal action was taken on these items at the July 13 meeting.
What happens next: Staff will continue grant work and ordinance drafting and will return to Council with necessary ordinance language or funding requests as items reach a stage requiring action.
