Staff requested $143,865.00 in equipment including an OB high-fidelity manikin ($68,000), a Trauma Cut suit ($32,000), a cardiac monitor simulator ($17,590), a 75" screen ($6,000) and a Lucas Device ($20,275). The Board moved to approve submission of the application and to authorize the Mayor to sign related documents; the motion passed unanimously.
Staff said no local match is required and that the department does not plan to use grant funds for ongoing operating costs; the Fire & EMS department noted it would pursue the training-equipment portion of the RHTP opportunities only if awarded.
