Parks & Recreation Director Shawn Pickens reported two bids for repairs to the Lazy River at Juniper Hill Aquatic Center and said the Parks Committee preferred Landmark. Commissioner Leesa Unger moved, and Commissioner Katima Smith-Willis seconded, a motion to accept the Landmark bid and to fund the work using insurance premium funding to reimburse the general fund; the motion passed 5-0.
Staff indicated the award follows committee preference and that the Mayor is authorized to sign related contract documents. No dollar amount for the contract was included in the work-session minutes.
