The Frankfort Board of Commissioners approved a budget amendment on second reading at the June 24, 2026 special meeting. The board adopted “AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 20, 2025 SERIES APPROPRIATING THE REVENUE TO BE RECEIVED BY THE CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2025-2026,” which adds specified expenditures and corresponding revenues to the fiscal year 2025–2026 budgets.
The amendment lists an aggregate General Fund increase in expenditures of $1,084,320 and an aggregate General Fund increase in revenues and transfers in of $2,386,650. Commissioner Rob Richardson moved to adopt the ordinance and Commissioner Leesa Unger seconded; the roll call vote was recorded as Commissioners Richardson, Unger, May, Smith-Willis and Mayor Layne Wilkerson voting in favor (5–0). The ordinance was adopted as Ordinance No. 10, 2026 Series.
