Kenwood board elects Cheryl Ghisla president, names clerk and county representative

Cheryl Ghisla was elected Board President at the Kenwood School District Board of Trustees’ organizational meeting on Dec. 13, 2024. The election was carried on a motion by Pat Alexander and seconded by James Larson.
The board also elected James Larson as Board Clerk on a motion by Javier Tenorio, seconded by Pat Alexander, and appointed Pat Alexander as the district’s representative to the County Committee on School District Organization on a motion by Javier Tenorio, seconded by James Larson. The board approved its 2025 regular meeting schedule — second Thursday of each month at 4:00 p.m., except July — in the same set of organizational actions. Meeting minutes record all three actions as approved by motion.
