Arts & Recreation announces ActiveNet rollout, summer camps and aquatics training

Arts and Recreation Director Ashley Howe provided several staff updates, including the department’s plan to implement new registration software (ActiveNet) with the first staff meetings set for April 29–30 and a target implementation in winter 2027. Howe said the department will run a communications campaign to inform clients about account creation in late summer or fall and that staff will circulate proposed edits to the field-use policy after the working-group’s first meeting.
Howe also announced youth program dates: the Mill Valley summer campus will run seven weeks from June 22 to Aug. 7 for preschool through incoming ninth graders and spring/summer enrichment classes begin the week of April 13. The aquatics and fitness division will offer an eight-week water-fitness instructor training with a master trainer and the department is hiring swim instructors to support expanded programming.
