The Kenwood School District Board approved a set of policy updates during the Nov. 7 meeting. The minutes list CSBA June, July and September updates, removal of "District of Choice" language from BP/AR 5117 Interdistrict Attendance, and removal of the requirement in BP 6170.1 that Transitional Kindergarten families reside within Kenwood School District boundaries.
The approval was recorded on motion by Trustee James Larson, seconded by Trustee Nate Lamar. The minutes do not contain the redlined policy language or a recorded vote tally; they record the topics and the approval motion.
The policy changes may affect interdistrict transfer procedures and TK enrollment residency rules; the district’s posted policy documents should be consulted for the final, operative language and implementation dates.
