The Winner School District 59-2 Board of Education approved personnel actions during the July 14 meeting, accepting the resignation of Kaylee Mulkey as an elementary special education para-professional and expressing gratitude for her service. The board then approved hiring Sophie Ford as an elementary special education para-professional at a wage of $15.00 per hour (motion carried 7-0).
Business Manager Laura Root presented recommended meal prices for 2025–26, which the board approved (motion carried 7-0). Superintendent Halverson also reported that School Resource Officer Chris Aid is scheduled to begin on August 11, 2025, as part of the upcoming school-year staffing plan.
