Calhoon re-elected chair; Meiners chosen vice-chair of Winner School District board

At its July 14 meeting the Winner School District 59-2 Board re-elected Mike Calhoon as chairperson and elected Scott Meiners as vice-chair for the 2025–26 term; oaths were administered to three newly seated members.
The Winner School District 59-2 Board of Education completed its annual reorganization at the July 14 meeting, administering oaths of office to newly seated trustees Julie Manke, Scott Meiners and Lynnelle Anderson. Business Manager Laura Root presided for the oath administration.
After the oaths, the board elected Mike Calhoon as chairperson (motion carried 6-0 with Calhoon abstaining from the vote on his own election) and elected Scott Meiners as vice-chairperson (motion carried 6-0 with Meiners abstaining). Chair Calhoon then announced committee appointments for Buildings & Grounds, Finance, Curriculum & Personnel, Negotiations, Calendar, and the Amended Consent Decree Committee.
