Cliff Elliott was elected Chair Pro Tem of the Village of Jemez Springs Planning & Zoning Commission after Vice Chair Sean Cridland and Chair Betsy Daub resigned before the May 26 meeting. Talia Michelle called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.; Elliott was nominated by Commissioner Cheryl Denney and elected "with 3 in favor," then proceeded to chair the meeting.
The commission welcomed newly appointed Commissioner Cheryl Denney and certified the agenda in accordance with the New Mexico Open Meetings Act. Commissioners approved the April 28, 2026 minutes as submitted and proceeded to consider several land-use applications. The commission also agreed to defer a permanent officer election until the next meeting after Cliff Elliott declined a later nomination for permanent chair.
