The director said the budget includes a 2% staff salary increase costing roughly $8,674 and adjustments to benefits for part‑time staff; to preserve the mill levy, the library plans to cancel its Hoopla digital-content subscription for 2027. Dr. Moulton also highlighted rising usage — library visits up 15.5% year-to-date and digital circulation up 16% — and said staff will seek engineering on accessibility improvements (automatic restroom door openers) and expand adult digital literacy programs next year.
