Staff showed options for the board’s annual historic preservation poster and asked whether the poster should depict the site as it looks today or as it appeared historically. The staff recommended using a higher-resolution modern photo paired with an older sepia image so viewers can see past and present; "My initial shot was use this older photo, but do it in, like, just a sepia tone and put the new photo alongside it," the chair suggested.
Boland said communications will add a QR code that links to expanded history content and recommended yard signs that reuse the poster artwork. The board agreed staff should proceed, asked for minor image edits (reduce hard shadows) and accepted that outreach materials will be used for promotion of a May event and possibly a May 30 walk-in tour coordinated with local historical sites.
