Castle Rock liaison outlines new stop sign, 35 mph zone and months-long street maintenance

The Town Council liaison reported traffic and street projects the board should expect this spring and summer, including a new stop sign at Lake Gulch and Crystal Valley Parkway and a change to make Crystal Valley Parkway a consistent 35 mph zone. "There's a new stop sign at Lake Gulch and Crystal Valley Parkway," the liaison said, adding that the speed change aims to reduce drivers flying through the corridor.
The liaison said restriping, slurry seal and other street maintenance will begin in April and continue through September with some overnight work near high-traffic commercial stretches (Allen Street, Outlet Mall Drive, Sapphire Point and Terrain). He also said CDOT plans bridge maintenance between July and September and that staff asked CDOT to pay special attention to Leggett Bridge.
