Council awards $1.23M 1100 East waterline and roadway reconstruction contract to Black Forest Paving

Capital Projects Manager Britton Tveten told the Council that 18 bids were received for the 1100 East Area waterline and roadway reconstruction project and recommended awarding the work to Black Forest Paving as the low, responsive bidder at a base price of $1,231,834.55.
Council voted to award the contract and authorized the Mayor to sign the Notice of Award and Notice to Proceed upon staff approval of final contract documents. "Black Forest Paving has a good reputation, and we believe they will do a good job," Tveten said.
