Council permits gas pressure control stations in CS-2 commercial zone for Questar site

The city council adopted a code text amendment to add Use 4824 (gas pressure control stations) to permitted uses in the Commercial Sales-2 (CS-2) zone to accommodate a proposed Questar Gas facility near 700 East and Smith's Grocery. Community Development Director Daniel Cardenas said the Planning Commission reviewed the proposal and recommended approval.
Mayor Jensen opened the required public hearing and no members of the public spoke. Following the hearing, the Council voted to amend the code accordingly. The change means that gas pressure control stations will now be an explicitly permitted principal use in the CS-2 zone.
