Applicant (presenter identified in discussion as "Chris") presented revised June 23 drawings showing additions, a breezeway, and a garage. Commissioners repeatedly emphasized preserving original front sashes, the front clapboard appearance (2.75" exposure where appropriate), and brick chimneys or brick-facing replicas for the visible front elevation. The applicant agreed to delete a proposed bay window from the front elevation and to return with detailed window schedules, gutter/profile specifications, a foundation strategy (including brick facing on the visible front portion), and chimney replication details.
The commission resolved that the main-house footprint (as shown in the June 23 submission) may proceed to permit steps necessary for structural work and demolition of non-visible portions, but that final approvals for windows, chimney materials, cladding profiles, and other finish details must be submitted and accepted as follow-up. The motion to approve the footprint with those conditions passed by voice vote; the applicant may begin work tied to the footprint and foundation remediation pending the additional submittals.
