On July 13 the Plainfield Town Council conducted the first reading of Ordinance No. 21‑2026, dedicating real property to public right‑of‑way on Smith Road. Mr. Kingseed moved and Mr. Bridget seconded the first reading; the roll call vote recorded unanimous approval for the first of three readings.
The council also considered Ordinance No. 20‑2026 and approved the second of three readings to establish stop signs for an all‑way stop at Buchanan Street and Carr Road. Mr. Bridget moved to approve the second reading and Mr. Kingseed seconded; the roll call recorded unanimous votes in favor. The council took no final adoption action on the Smith Road ordinance (first reading) and will need subsequent readings for final adoption.
