Staff recommends ending pursuit of Village at Plank Road/Drinkard project

Melissa Woolard, speaking for town staff, told the Plainfield Redevelopment Commission that the Village at Plank Road/Drinkard Task Force had fulfilled its meetings and that, following discussion and consideration, staff recommends not proceeding with the proposed financial model, using town capital for the project, or moving the project forward. "We believe the task force fulfilled its meeting, and after discussion and consideration, the staff would recommend not moving forward with the proposed financial model, or the use of existing town capital, or the project," Woolard said.

Woolard indicated the recommendation was an administrative conclusion and that a formal vote was not required unless the commission requested one. The commission did not move to vote on the project that evening; no further action was recorded.
