Plainfield council awards $1.069 million contract for U.S. 40 and Vandalia intersection improvements

Mr. Singleton, the engineer of record, told the council that Banning Engineering recommended awarding the work to Morphey and recommended acceptance of Morphey's $1,069,000 bid; the council approved that motion by voice vote.
Council materials state the contract will be funded from the town's 2025 general obligation bond. Mr. Bridget moved to accept the committee recommendation and Mr. Angle seconded; President Brandgard called for ayes and the motion carried.
