Three bids opened for Bridgefield Drainage Improvement Project; JDH submits low bid

During the July 13 meeting staff opened three bids for the Bridgefield Drainage Improvement Project and read each amount into the record. Mr. Daniel reported PAF Construction's bid at $465,008.75, JDH Infrastructure Group's bid at $367,245.90 (the lowest), and SLB Pipe Solutions' bid at $559,184.00; the engineer's estimate had been $596,700. Council President Brandgard asked that a bid review committee — Shannon Swan, Dan Bridget, Mason Moberly and Drew Kelly — review the submissions and return with a recommendation.
No award was made at the meeting; staff will examine bids for responsiveness and responsibility and report back to the council. The opening record will become part of the procurement file for the project.
