Boland said one of the survey projects could lead to a landmark nomination while the other could be related to a demolition review; he also said a recently fire-damaged house was administratively considered demolished by an "act of God" and any rebuild will require design-review review and likely a pre-application. He added the town plans to issue an RFP for an on-call consultant to avoid separate contracts for each project and that staff requested budget dollars for planning and preservation match funds during the upcoming budget cycle.
Board members asked for follow-up when pre-applications and survey results are available so they can assess eligibility and potential tax-credit or grant strategies.
