Council opened and closed a public hearing regarding a requested land-use amendment for property at 4306 East Hancock Street and approved Resolution 3094 to amend the future land use map so the property could be rezoned.
Planning staff explained that the requested rezone did not conform to the existing future land use designation and therefore staff recommended the amendment to enable the rezone. After no members of the public signed for that hearing item, the council closed the public hearing and approved the resolution by roll call.
The council then opened a second public hearing on Ordinance 4311a to rezone the property from agricultural to light industrial. Planning staff (Ms. Winkel) explained the ordinance and recommended approval; the council closed the hearing, made a motion and approved the ordinance by roll call.
