"So it's basically a $3,600,000 roll forward into the current year budget that was unused in the prior year," Nathan said, summarizing the largest items. The board’s motion, read into the record, described an appropriation increase of $33,611,400 for fiscal year 2027; the motion passed with all members voting in favor.
Board members asked only clarifying questions; no members requested changes to the resolution during discussion. The resolution carries forward committed purchase orders and project funding so staff can complete multiyear contracts and capital work without re-appropriating those funds in a separate action. The board did not identify any specific vendor-level changes during the meeting.
The immediate effect is procedural: funds already encumbered in FY2026 are formally added to FY2027 appropriations so the projects can proceed. Nathan said he would answer specific follow-up questions if the board wanted line-item detail after the meeting. The board adopted the resolution during the meeting and recorded the vote as carried.
