Council swears in DeWitt, approves multiple SUPs and zoning updates in single meeting

The council then approved several land-use items with little public opposition: a specific-use permit for a tattoo shop at 3701 Lamar Avenue, a cottage-industry SUP for a pharmaceutical packaging facility, an amendment modernizing home-occupation rules, and an amendment allowing limited reinvestment in owner-occupied, legal nonconforming single-family homes (for modest additions up to a specified percentage). Planning and Zoning recommended approval on these items and staff said enforcement and administration would be handled with existing resources. All of these items passed on voice vote and were recorded as carried (most 5–0).
Separately, staff recommended and the council approved awarding the municipal audit-services contract to Forbus Mazars after the prior firm declined; staff said four proposals were received and that no local firms responded. The council approved the award by voice vote (5–0).
A ground-lease assignment at Coxfield Hangar was tabled pending documentation. The council closed the meeting after hearing a service-plan update for the Forest Brook PID and a motion to adjourn.
