Parowan approves $1,500 annual contribution to Patchwork Byway committee

Dalton said design plans for the byway project are complete, marketing and fabrication work is under way and the committee relies on modest local contributions to leverage grant funding. “We’re requesting $1,500 just like we have done the last several years from each of the 3 byway communities,” Dalton said. A council member moved to approve the contribution and the council unanimously approved the request.
Council members praised the committee’s work, noting the project’s focus on heritage interpretation and coordinated marketing across multiple counties. The contribution is intended to support operating and grant-writing work for the byway program.
