Community development staff told the commission that the department has hired a new planning assistant, Anne Greendale, who will start full time next week and will assist with planning work previously handled by Shannon. "Her name is Anne Greendale...She comes with great recommendations," staff said.
Staff also previewed an upcoming housing code audit aimed at reconciling local code with state law and exploring 'missing middle' housing options, including cottage-scale homes, small single-family dwellings, and multifamily types. Staff said they expect to schedule a joint city council–planning commission meeting, likely in mid-April, and asked commissioners to stand by for an invitation to participate. The announcement also noted staff will follow up with commissioners as consultants complete data and recommendations.
