"I won't submit grant applications that commits us to we're gonna get $50, but we have to spend a 100," the superintendent said, describing his intent not to obligate the district to uncovered matches. The amended motion, seconded and approved, authorizes administration to pursue state and federal grants that do not require matching funds; board recorded the vote as unanimous.
The superintendent and staff said they will continue to bring opportunities that include matching requirements back to the board for consideration.
