Walkersville Business group to promote trunk-or-treat Oct. 31; asks about welcome flags

Bob Sussman, speaking for the Walkersville Business and Professional Association and Friends of the Library, said WBPA will begin early promotion for the town’s trunk-or-treat event scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 31, and plans to ramp up outreach in August. "I'm gonna start advertising for trunk or treat, which is, again, Saturday night, October 31st this year," he said, adding that WBPA will begin promotions in August to allow time for planning.
Sussman also asked about small ground flags used for 'welcome' signage and whether the commission had a price or supplier; commissioners said Kelly was handling pricing and turnaround, with one commissioner noting a potential turnaround of less than 10 days. Sussman closed by thanking the group and reminding members of WBPA's upcoming meeting dates.
