“I love the state’s competition. I love the technical center,” the superintendent said, praising career and technical education for providing both trade skills and dual‑enrollment opportunities. The board highlighted the students’ accomplishments in digital cinema, robotics (urban search and rescue) and pre‑engineering events, and members echoed support for expanded experiential learning.
Board members said the presentations by drama and technical students at a recent extracurricular meeting illustrated the broader value of hands‑on programs in fostering student engagement and parental involvement. The superintendent and principals said they will continue to spotlight CTE and extracurricular successes as part of recruitment and morale efforts.
