Dalton said the city’s total cash match obligation would be $6,002.63 and that staff estimated $11,031.26 in in‑kind contributions (labor and equipment valued at FHWA rates). She explained the cash match would be split over two budget years, with about $3,001 due in the coming fiscal year. Panguitch and Brian Head had already committed support for the grant.
Separately, council discussed directional signs at two city entryways that the grant could not cover. Mayor Halterman estimated sign upgrades would cost substantially less than the previously cited $10,000, likely about $2,000 or under $1,500. Council voted unanimously to approve the local match and the sign upgrade funding.
