"It's a nuisance for me, quite frankly," House said, describing frequent heavy truck traffic.
Speakers asked the county to require flaggers, escorts and better scheduling for heavy haulers; several said heavy‑use road agreements and repair bonds should be enforced. County staff said they had pushed the city of Huntingburg to allow work on city property to reduce closures, and noted heavy‑use permits and road‑repair requirements are tools the county can use.
