The River Ridge CDD board accepted the resignation of Supervisor James Gilman (Seat 1, term expires November 2026) on Aug. 27. Mrs. Cleo Adams presented Mr. Gilman’s resignation letter and, on a motion by Mr. Kurt Blumenthal seconded by Mr. Robert Twombly, the board unanimously accepted the resignation.
Board members discussed the appointment process to fill the unexpired term: because this will be an appointment rather than an election, staff will e-blast residents (including Mr. Long and The Meadows’ POA manager) about the vacancy, candidate qualification requirements, and ask interested residents to submit a resume or letter of interest before the next meeting. The board also noted that administration of the oath, ethics training and disclosure forms will be provided in a separate package.
