District Engineer Charlie Krebs reviewed the draft Traffic Calming Assessment 2025, describing Tier 1 and Tier 2 measures and educational efforts. The board heard that Mr. Conway had begun education-based road, bike and golf-cart safety measures and that three permanent and one mobile speed radar signs will be placed throughout the property the first week of February; a decrease in speeding violations was reported.
Krebs was asked to update Page 9 of the report to include the conclusion of the traffic study, and board members were invited to advise him or Chair Schultz of any additional areas for consideration. The board discussed notifying residents about mandating existing rules and possible installation of "Do not pass golf cart" signs at the front entrance and crosswalks; the Pelican Sound Board is also considering bylaw changes related to traffic violations.
