Public works director Tim Lakey reviewed capital projects proposed in the FY26–27 budget. "We have Seabird Drive Road Improvements that is slated at $252,000," he said, and listed a city street paving package budgeted at approximately $1,748,000 and a reimbursable Ferry Creek Bridge replacement tied to ODOT reimbursement.
Staff said the Beach Loop Connector Pathway is included in the 2027–2030 ODOT State Transportation Improvement Program and that the city is reserving a local contribution for grant matching. Paula told the committee the grant for the pathway is around $4,000,000, so construction timing is contingent on STIP scheduling and available grants.
