She noted the visitor center is not 100% TOT-funded because it also serves residents.
Council moved and seconded a motion to authorize the inclusion of the $231,525 line item in the FY26-27 TOT funding and to delegate execution to the city manager. A voice vote passed unanimously.
The council and chamber discussed allowable uses of TOT (advertising and promotion) and noted that salary or program operating costs may require alternative funding or nonprofit 501(c)(3) status and broader budget discussion.
