The council voted unanimously on March 10 to issue a new Notice of Call for Bids for the Park Rapids Municipal Airport taxilane reconstruction, a project deferred from 2025. Administrator Weasner explained the work targets the oldest pavement adjacent to the oldest hangar and requires fresh bids because the earlier solicitation lapsed after the project was suspended last year.
Funding for the reconstruction is approximately 90% federal, 5% state and the remainder charged to the city; the city budget includes its share. Councilmember Engholm moved to call for bids and the motion carried unanimously. Staff will publish the request for bids and return with results for council award.
